Connectivity at Clark Atlanta University includes campus wireless and wired networks, as well as remote access tools. Below are the primary ways to connect and get support.

📶 Wireless Network (Wi-Fi)

CAU offers multiple wireless networks to support faculty, staff, students, and visitors.

CAUnet (Faculty & Staff)

CAUnet is the secure wireless network for faculty and staff computers. This network is intended for university-owned or approved computers and provides access to internal campus resources.

CAUnet is not intended for mobile phones or tablets.

PantherGuest (Students & Visitors)

PantherGuest provides wireless internet access for students, visitors, and personal devices across campus. This network supports general browsing and access to cloud-based services.

Residence Hall Wi-Fi

Students living in campus residence halls use Xfinity On Campus Wi-Fi. This service supports multiple personal devices and provides wireless internet access in residence hall rooms.

Wired Network

Wired network access is available in faculty and staff offices and academic classrooms.

Wired connections provide reliable, high-speed access for desktop computers and instructional equipment.

Note: Wired network access is not available in student residence halls.

VPN (Remote Access)

The Virtual Private Network (VPN) provides secure remote access to certain university systems and resources when working off campus.

VPN access is available to students, faculty, and staff. The VPN software is installed on university-issued devices to enable secure connections to CAU network resources.

VPN is typically used when access is required to systems or services that are only available from the campus network.

If you need assistance with VPN access or connection issues, contact IT Support.
