Atlanta’s rich Black cultural heritage is an everyday part of student life. Clark Atlanta students have access to concerts, theatre, lectures, and community events both on campus and across the city. The University hosts internationally recognized visiting scholars and artists and is home to award-winning student ensembles, including the Philharmonic Society, Jazz Band, Marching Band, and more.

Atlanta University Center Consortium (AUCC)

Clark Atlanta University is a proud member of the Atlanta University Center Consortium (AUCC)—the world’s oldest and largest consortium of historically Black colleges and universities. The AUCC includes Spelman College, Morehouse College, and Morehouse School of Medicine, all located within walking distance in southwest Atlanta. 

Cross-registration and Shared Academic Opportunities

As an AUCC student, you can take approved courses at neighboring AUCC institutions to broaden your academic experience, access specialized programs, and connect with a wider network of peers and faculty. 

Engage in joint initiatives such as the Dual Degree Engineering Program and other consortium-wide academic and research opportunities designed to increase the diverse representation of emerging professionals in high-demand fields. 

Scholarships and Funding Opportunities

AUCC partners with corporations, foundations, and alumni to provide scholarships and special funding for students across the consortium, helping make transformative opportunities more accessible.
