Academic Achievements

Raising the Bar

At Clark Atlanta University (CAU), our scholars, faculty, and students consistently elevate and exceed expectations, delivering measurable impact on research, experiential learning, leadership development, and career readiness.

Each year, more than 4,000 students pursue degrees in over 40 areas of study, spanning the arts and sciences, business, education, and social work. In 2025, nearly 800 graduates were honored during Commencement Week, a testament to CAU’s dedication to rigorous scholarship and student success.

We push boundaries and have consistently secured recognition as a Doctoral Universities – High Research Activity (R2) institution, one of only two private HBCUs with this designation. In 2025, CAU earned its first-ever designation as a Fulbright HBCU Institutional Leader, recognizing strong faculty-student engagement in the Fulbright Program. CAU also consistently ranks competitively with other HBCUs and U.S. colleges and universities.
