Parking

Parking at Clark Atlanta University provides a professional atmosphere and parking to address the needs of the faculty/staff and student body. Campus parking areas vary in terms of location and proximity to campus facilities. Official campus signs, maps and markings are designated to facilitate a more organized parking experience. 

Parking Liability Disclaimer

By parking in this facility, you agree to these terms: The owner/operator is not liable for any injury to persons or damage/loss of property (including vehicles and contents) resulting from theft, vandalism, collision, or acts of God. Vehicles are parked at the sole risk of the owner. Unauthorized vehicles may be towed at the owner's expense.

Special Event Parking

Special events on campus—such as campus activations, external rentals, home football and basketball games, graduation ceremonies, and homecoming events—can affect campus parking availability. During these times, parking may be reallocated to accommodate the event. Faculty, staff, and student permit holders may be temporarily relocated. Unless otherwise directed, all visitors and special guests of the University will be relocated to the Visitors Parking Deck at no charge.  Facility projects could also require relocation of permitted parkers.  Advanced notice will be provided to the affected permitted parkers regarding the relocation.

Tailgating and Theft of Service

Tailgating (following another vehicle through a gate without authorization) or using your parking permit or access card to allow another vehicle to exit the parking facility without paying the required parking fee constitutes theft of service. Students who engages in tailgating or uses their parking permit or access card to assist another vehicle in avoiding payment will be subject to the immediate revocation of all parking privileges. In addition, violators may face disciplinary action and/or legal prosecution as permitted by applicable laws and university regulations.

Visitors to CAU should park in the Visitor’s Parking Deck at 190 Mildred st, SW, Atlanta, GA 30314. Please refer to the Transient Parking Rates.

Parking Office is located at 190 Mildred St, SW, Atlanta, GA 30314. If you are having difficulty with your PAW Card for parking access or gate/arm issues, please call the parking office at 404-880-6295.  After hours or on weekends, If you are having issues with a faculty/staff parking gate, please call Public Safety at 404-880-8623.
