Canvas Overview

Canvas serves as the Learning Management System (LMS) for CAU. Canvas is a dynamic and intuitive LMS designed to facilitate a seamless educational experience. With its user-friendly interface and comprehensive features, Canvas empowers educators and learners to collaborate, engage, and excel. 

 

Students use Canvas to access course materials, assessments, communicate with professors, and more.  

How to Access Canvas

Web Browser 
    1. Go to www.cau.edu
    2. Scroll to the bottom of the webpage. Select “MyCAU”.
    3. Sign into MyCAU using your CAU Email Address and password
    4. Complete the authentication process
    5. After logging into MyCAU, you will gain access to essential applications including Canvas, BannerWeb, Outlook Email, OneDrive, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and more.

Students

Review your schedule in the Panther Portal to ensure that you are enrolled in the course(s). Should it not be visible, please reach out to the Registrar’s office. If the course is visible in Panther Portal and not appearing in Canvas, please submit a help desk ticket to support@cau.edu for further assistance

Faculty

CAU’s Virtual Private Network (VPN) establishes a link to the university network from off-campus, allowing access to resources that are specifically accessible within this network. Click Here for more information. 

Please ensure that the courses you are assigned to teach are listed correctly in the Panther Portal. If you find any discrepancies between your Canvas courses and your Banner (Panther Portal) schedule, please reach out to the Registrar’s office for assistance. For further support, you can also submit a help desk ticket to support@cau.edu.
