Dual Degree Engineering Transfer Process

TRANSFER PROCESS

Each participating engineering institution has established admissions guidelines in compliance with the standards set by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET). These guidelines are available to DDE Scholars during academic advisement sessions.

A general requirement for admission is that DDE Scholars must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher in both their overall coursework and their Math/Science courses. This ensures their eligibility for acceptance into the partnering engineering institutions. To initiate the transfer process, DDE Scholars should submit their applications to the engineering institution before the deadlines specified by each institution. Typically, these deadlines fall approximately 6 to 9 months prior to the intended date of transfer. The transfer forms can be obtained and processed through both the CAU DDEP office and the AUCC DDEP office.

We strongly encourage DDE Scholars to seek advisement before submitting any forms to the transfer institution. Advisement sessions play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and timely transition to the partner engineering institution. In certain cases, application fees may be waived.

CAU DDE Scholars should ensure that verification forms are completed by their DDEP advisor and AUCC DDEP representative before transferring. Once all requirements at both institutions are met, the DDE Scholar is concurrently awarded a Bachelor of Science degree from CAU and a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from the engineering partner institution.
