Program Description
The Bachelor of Arts Degree in French Program prepares students to be bilingual and fluent in written and conversational French and trains students for careers in foreign services, business, consulting, publishing, law enforcement, legal and medical fields, teaching French content area in grades K-12, as well as interpreting and translating for multinational organizations, various local, state, and federal agencies.

Student Learning Outcomes
Graduates of the French Program will be able to:
- Communicate in both oral and written French with an advanced medium fluency.
- Discuss the diverse cultures associated with French language.
- Acquire the linguistic skills and disposition in French necessary to engage in conversations in French to provide and obtain information, express feelings and emotions, and exchange opinions on a variety of topics.
- Read and analyze French language literary works, such as poems, short stories.
- Identify, analyze, and discuss the issues and events that affect the French speaking community.
