Bio: Dr. Nakia Cotton-Smith, a Tallahassee native, is an accomplished educator and leader with over 27 years of experience in education and leadership. A proud graduate of Florida A&M University and Clark Atlanta University, she holds degrees in elementary education and educational leadership, along with a doctorate in Educational Leadership. Dr. Cotton-Smith has served in key district and school leadership roles across Georgia and Florida, supporting diverse learners and advancing inclusive practices. She is also an adjunct professor, author, and podcaster. Passionate about equity and opportunity, she is dedicated to empowering students, educators, and communities through transformative education.
