About the Robert H. “Bob” Bell Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurial Development

The CAU Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurial Development was established to develop a campus-wide entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem.

The center provides students, faculty, staff, and alumni with opportunities to build their innovation and entrepreneurial skills through opportunities such as business and idea consulting, workshops, mentoring, and business modeling.

We also offer several modern activities for students to be prepared for the real world such as 3D printing and prototyping, drone flight training, gaming/e-sports, and fashion entrepreneurship to name a few.

The Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurial Development (CIED) is committed to fostering the entrepreneurial and innovative spirit across the CAU campus.  By strengthening our I&E ecosystem, we ensure that students gain the skills to secure their future regardless of the path they choose. The center is open to students and alumni of all disciplines.

CAU Ventures Club

CAU Ventures Club is dedicated to fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and entrepreneurial thinking within Clark Atlanta University and to develop an entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The club’s purpose is to empower aspiring entrepreneurs by providing a dynamic platform for learning, networking, and launching ventures. Through a commitment to creativity, diversity, and sustainable growth, we aim to inspire and equip our members to make a lasting impact in the entrepreneurial landscape, both on campus and beyond.

The club provides

• A platform and community for CAU students interested in entrepreneurship to connect, collaborate, and develop their entrepreneurial skills.
• Network and Collaboration- Facilitate networking opportunities among students with a shared interest in Entrepreneurship and encourage collaboration on projects or startup ventures.
• Educational Events- Organize workshops, seminars, and guest speaker sessions to educate members on various aspects of entrepreneurship, including business planning, marketing, funding, and leadership skills.
• Skill Development- Provide resources and activities to enhance entrepreneurial skills, such as pitch competitions, hackathons, or mentorship programs.
• Community Building- Create a supportive community that encourages creativity risk-taking, and resilience, fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among members

Clark Atlanta University serves as a modern-day case study for what happens when underserved students are given the opportunity to thrive in an academic setting.
