The Centennial Celebration
The year 2020 marked the 100-year anniversary of the nation’s oldest accredited school of social work among historically black colleges and universities: The Whitney M. Young Jr. School of Social Work at Clark Atlanta University (CAU). In honor of this the historic milestone, CAU is hosting a year-long Centennial Celebration benefitting the School. The Centennial Celebration brings together leading organizations and thought leaders who work to improve economic and social justice; and the well-being and equitable treatment of people.
Beginning with a kick-off in October 2019 and culminating with the Centennial Celebration and GoodWorks Gala on October 2021, the celebration seeks to enlighten and inspire action for a better world. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the schedule of acitivites were revised to include a new kickoff relaunch date of October 2020 through October 2021.
Join us as we honor 100 years of excellence in social work education and good works.
