The Whitney M. Young Jr. School of Social Work’s highest honor, bestowed each year upon one individual whose work, reflect the ideals, dedication and service exemplified by the School’s namesake and civil rights leader, Whitney M. Young Jr.


The GoodWorks 100™ and Talented Ten™

In honor of the 100th year Anniversary of the Whitney M. Young Jr. School of Social Work, Clark Atlanta University (CAU) will launch the GoodWorks 100—A national list of outstanding young individuals who are recognized for their dedication, ingenuity and impact in critical areas of social work and services:

  • Community
  • Education
  • Environment
  • Food/Hunger
  • Government
  • Health
  • Innovation
  • Philanthropy
  • Transportation
  • Social Justice

Ten amazing individuals are selected in 10 categories for inclusion on the list.
One person in each category will make up the GoodWorks 100: Talented Ten, representing the best of the best.

CAU will officially announce a call for nominations and upon review, announce the ten listees in each category. All listees will be recognized at the Centennial Celebration Gala, with the Talented Ten being awarded on stage at the Gala.
