**ATLANTA, GA** — Clark Atlanta University proudly announces that **Dr. Silvanus J. Udoka**, Otelia and Herman Russell Endowed Chair & Dean of the Clark Atlanta University School of Business, has been chosen as the President-Elect of the **National HBCU Business Deans Roundtable**, the nation's premier association of business school leaders at Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The selection took place during the group’s Annual Summit, held June 3–6, 2026, in Westlake, Texas. A long-standing member of the Roundtable's leadership team, Dr. Udoka previously served as an Executive Board Member. As President-Elect, he will help guide an organization that brings together leaders from more than **55 HBCU business schools** to strengthen business education, expand corporate partnerships, and create opportunities for students nationwide before assuming the presidency at the conclusion of the current leadership cycle. Dr. Udoka brings decades of leadership experience across industry, research, and higher education. Before entering academia, he built a successful career in industry and consulting in areas of manufacturing systems engineering. During more than eight years at Clark Atlanta University, he has served as Dean and Professor of the School of Business and as Interim Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs. Under his leadership, the School successfully extended its AACSB International accreditation through two cycles of continuous improvement review, earned consistent inclusion among the top 100 business schools in the U.S. News & World Report rankings, and attracted more than $4 million in external funding. He also served on the National Advisory Council for ForbesBLK and the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's Special Committee on Payments and Inclusion. As a charter founding member of the National HBCU Business Deans Roundtable, Clark Atlanta University helped establish the organization in 1999 and has remained committed to advancing collaboration, innovation, and excellence in HBCU business education.
