04/05/2022
(ATLANTA, GA, April 5, 2022) - Clark Atlanta University’s (CAU) Art and Fashion Department, headed by Interim Chair, Mrs. BJ Arnett, celebrates its 6th annual Art and Fashion Week this week, which will showcase the skills and designs of senior CAU students.
The premier event of the week is called SENIOR EXHIBITION: AU REVOIR. This special display of fashion will be presented April 8, 2022, at 3:30 P.M. on the third floor of the Robert W. Woodruff Library Virginia Lacy Jones Exhibition Hall located in the Atlanta University Center. The presentation is set to be hosted by CAU Art and Fashion Department’s own celebrity stylist Darris Rushing with more special guests including our esteemed first lady, Dr. BaShen Bacon French.
Highlighting the collaborative work of designers, merchandisers, and advertisers from CAU, this year's theme is AU REVOIR which is the French phrase meaning “goodbye until we meet again.”
Some of this year’s key partners include the Harlem’s Fashion Row, Levi’s, JCPenney, Walmart, American Eagle, Signet Jewelers, and Click Models. “Over the last two years we have had the opportunity to work with the amazing team from Harlem’s Fashion Row and their CEO Brandice Daniel,” said B.J. Arnett. “The help we receive from this team gives our students the opportunity to hear from top fashion executives including Levi’s and discuss the fashion industry and how they can find their place in it. I cannot thank them enough for their support.”
