11/08/2020

ATLANTA, GA — November 9, 2020— Clark Atlanta University (CAU) and the CAU Office of Student Recruitment and Admissions have selected Friday, November 13th as CAU Red Letter Day. This date marks the first day that undergraduate students who have been admitted for fall 2021 will be notified via email. Defined as a day that is pleasant, significant and memorable, CAU’s 2nd annual Red Letter Day connotes a hallmark event in the lives of prospective students, the transition into young adulthood and the first introduction of Panther culture.

“This is an exciting time in the life of a high school (soon to be university) student and we want to be part of the energy, anticipation, and excitement,” says Lorri Saddler, Associate Vice President/Dean of Undergraduate Admission.  “We have a very competitive applicant pool with students from approximately 40 states and 6 countries with an average GPA of 3.43 from which we expect to admit the best and brightest.”

Again, this year, the admissions staff has expressed a desire to make this offer to attend CAU a memorable and special experience for undergraduate students. Some of the activities planned leading up to CAU Red Letter Day include:

  • Hand-delivered acceptance letters (practicing social distancing guidelines)
  • Acceptance Letter Instagram Contest offering a chance to win a Panther Pack full of CAU swag—follow @cauadmissions on IG for details

Students who have applied and completed their application before the Early Action deadline of November 1, 2020 should monitor their email inboxes for an acceptance notification beginning on Red Letter Day, November 13.  Clark Atlanta University will continue to receive and review applications for new freshmen until April 1, 2021 and new transfer students until June 1, 2021.
