Clark Atlanta University (May 22, 2020) –ATLANTA, GA – CAU extends a reminder that the application deadline for admittance into the university as well as the confirmation fee/deposit deadline is fast approaching. Both deadlines were shifted to June 15 in favor of our student population due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.
CAU will also waive the submission of SAT or ACT scores for the fall 2020 term given the nationwide exam facility closures.
“We are sensitive to the shifting landscape where many students were unable to access testing due to the global pandemic,” said CAU President Dr. George T. French, Jr. “Given these circumstances, it is important for us to be flexible and to take a holistic approach in the admissions process, where we view students’ grades, high school curriculum, extracurricular activities, and the diverse and varied perspectives they can bring to CAU.”
Lorri L. Saddler the Associate Vice President and Dean of Undergraduate Admissions agrees. “We want to remain a beacon of access and opportunity to meet the higher educational aspirations of the students and communities we serve,” Saddler said.
Students are encouraged to visit the university website at www.cau.edu to apply for admission consideration for the 2020-21 academic year.
