06:00 PM - 08:00 PM
Join the Whitney M. Young Jr. School of Social Work this Thursday, June 10 6-7:30 PM ET for A Conversation on Equity, Access, and Opportunity: Why Black Lives Matter.
Expert panelists will discuss the intersectionality of racial inequality, access, and opportunity experienced by African-Americans across the United States, including issues of state sanctioned violence and racial terror against Blacks, police killings of unarmed black men, voter suppression, and educational disparities. How do we view these issues from a historical perspective and what are some striking parallels to what is happening today?
