CITLE Programming and Professional Development Opportunities
We offer a number of programs and services to support the professional development needs of CAU faculty. Please refer to the CITLE Calendar for the current offerings. Listed are opportunities offered year round to help faculty improve their pedagogy to engage learners.
This self-guided online course walks you through the basics of our learning management system, Canvas. This is also the prerequisite course for tTEC. Participants must score an 80 or higher in Canvas 101 to be eligible for tTEC certification (explained in the next section). You may register for and start Canvas 101 at any time. Email Zachary Boseman at firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to the course.
tTEC (technology to Transform Educational Content-deliver) Online Teaching Certification
tTEC is CAU’s online teaching certification. Faculty who wish to teach online courses must be tTEC certified. This is a 5-week online course with several synchronous sessions offered various times during the semester.
Registration for tTEC requires Dean approval. Each school must submit the faculty approval form by the published deadline. Eligible participants must also complete Canvas 101 prior to the start of the course.

Faculty Development Institute (FDI)
Faculty Development Institutes are intensive professional development opportunities open to full-time and part-time faculty. Faculty receive a $1,500 stipend upon successful completion of the institute and will serve as faculty learning community leaders in their respective school.
Faculty Development Walk-In Support
Our office is open Monday through Friday 9 am – 6 pm. Please schedule an appointment or stop by to meet one-on-one with a member of our team to discuss your challenges, goals, or needs. Appointments can be scheduled by emailing email@example.com or contacting the individual staff member.
