management, fiscal stability, and student services.
Historically
Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Program Activities / 2007 - 2008
During the first year, Clark Atlanta University plans to use
Title III funds in support of the following seven (7) activities.
Program Activities Designed
to Improve Academic Quality
Academic quality is the University's highest priority. Quality
at the undergraduate level will be achieved by investing in "rigorous
academic programs". The University will continue to conduct
academic program reviews in key areas and will establish and
monitor innovative indicators of academic quality. In addition,
academic quality will be accomplished by upgrading instructional
facilities to enhance the learning environment.
Program Activities Designed
to Improve the Quality of Student Services
To strengthen student
services the University develops, implements and monitors the
effectiveness of undergraduate student retention plans. The key
to Clark Atlanta University's success in attracting and graduating
outstanding students is to engage all members of the University
community in providing a student-centered environment in which
students can flourish.
Program Activities Designed
to Improve the Quality of Institutional Management
Institutional Management is vital to strengthening undergraduate
institutions. More than many of the success factors related to
the quality of a university, the quality of an institution's
management is directly linked to its administration, faculty,
and staff. Whether in their role as teacher, scholar, or university
citizen, the university's institutional management set the tone
of the campus and holds the key to excellence.
