Siriyama Kanthi Herath is a professor of Accounting at Clark Atlanta University. She earned her Ph.D. in accounting and a Master of Accountancy (Honors) degree from the University of Wollongong in Australia. She received a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) degree from the University of Colombo in Sri Lanka.
Kanthi’s teaching interest focuses on cost management systems, managerial accounting and financial accounting. Her research interests include management control, managerial accounting, accounting education and outsourcing. She is the author or co-author of over 40 publications and has published articles in Family Business Casebook Annual, Journal of Management Development, International Journal of Strategic Cost Management, Afro-Asian Journal of Finance and Accounting, Corporate Governance Journal, International Journal of Innovation and Learning, International Journal of Managerial and Financial Accounting, The Journal of American Academy of Business, International Journal of Management and Enterprise Development, Industrial Management & Data Systems, International Journal of Services and Standards, International Journal of Electronic Finance, International Journal of Educational Management, Managing Service Quality, and International Journal of Business & Economics.
She serves on the editorial boards of the International Journal of Electronic Finance and the International Journal of Accounting and Finance.
Kanthi has over 25 years of teaching experience and has worked at the University of Ruhuna, University of Colombo, University of Wollongong, University of Western Sydney, Lynchburg College, Georgia State University, Pittsburg State University and Georgia Institute of Technology.
She has made presentations at international conferences in Australia, UK, USA, France, Canada and Belgium.
