The Dual-Degree program in Accounting leads to the simultaneous award of the Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and the Master of Arts in Accounting degrees. The two degrees will be awarded on the basis of 150 semester hours. 

Completing the Dual-Degree program in Accounting will satisfy the 150 semester hour requirement in most states and territories in order to apply for admission to the unified Certified Public Accountants (CPA) examination. As soon as possible, candidates for admission to the CPA examination are strongly advised to verify any additional courses required by their desired state or territory of certification.

Program Requirements

  • Minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • Complete the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT)
  • The student should be admitted to the program by the beginning of the undergraduate senior year
  • Students are required to attain minimum grades of "C" in all undergraduate Business Core courses
  • Student must have completed all required undergraduate accounting courses - Mathematics for Decision Makers, Calculus, English Composition I, English Composition II, and all graduate courses
  • Students are required to maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of "3.0" in all graduate courses for award of the  Master of Arts in Accounting degree.
