BACKGROUND: Since joining Caterpillar in 1979, Adams has held various positions of increasing responsibility, demonstrating his keen business acumen. He has administrative responsibility for the Financial Products Division, which is comprised of Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation and Caterpillar Financial Insurance Services. He serves on the board of directors of the Financial Services Roundtable and the executive committee of the Financial Services Roundtable. Adams is a director of the Nashville Branch of the Federal Reserve Board of Atlanta, chair of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Nashville Agenda. He holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in finance from the University of Illinois and completed the Pennsylvania State University Executive Management Program.
