BACKGROUND: CAU marks its second year as a host institution for President Barack Obama’s Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders in Business and Entrepreneurship. The 25 fellows will spend six weeks at CAU engaged in business and entrepreneurship coursework, complemented by an integrated program of leadership training, peer collaboration, experiential learning opportunities and community activities. The fellows, 12 females and 13 males, represent 17 different nations. The Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) is a program of the U.S. Department of State.
