NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION & FINANCIAL CLEARANCE
Welcome, New Panther!
Orientation is a longstanding practice at colleges and universities, designed to help students get started on the right track. At Clark Atlanta University (CAU), it involves the dissemination of important information related to financial aid, residential housing, student health and health insurance, student payments, placement testing, and other facts and things to know about starting the first-year at CAU. A major outcome of orientation is for all students to complete the registration process, including financial aid, making satisfactory payment arrangements, and creating a schedule of Spring 2012 semester classes.
All new first-time freshmen students who have just completed high school and transfer students who will be attending Clark Atlanta in Spring 2012 are required to participate in New Student Orientation (NSO) and Financial Clearance which will better prepare and orient you to the University.
New Student Orientation and Financial Clearance is a required two-day “on campus orientation” designed for new first-time freshmen and transfer students. The purpose of New Student Orientation and Financial Clearance is to welcome all new incoming freshman and transfer students “Panther Nation,” by introducing the academic and student services available to you, to get you advised and registered for your academic coursework for the Spring 2012 semester and to secure your financial enrollment within the university.
You may ask “What Makes Me Financially Enrolled?” – To be financially enrolled you must have met or settled all of your financial obligations which includes your tuition cost, residential cost, meal plans and all associated fees through the office of Student Accounts, located in Room 204 of the Haven-Warren Building. The deadline to become financially enrolled is January 11, 2012.
