Interim Review

Reviews conducted at two intervals are the means through which monitoring and implementation of the strategic institutional priorities and objectives derived from them will be accomplished. The reviews consist of two parts: (1) review reports, and (2) review conferences.

Review Reports

Accountable administrative officers, i.e., Vice Presidents, Deans, Department Chairs, program directors, department heads and managers, prepare the review reports. Reports may be required of individual staff at the discretion of the department chair or department head. The review reports indicate progress toward achieving established priorities and objectives. They also note difficulties and corrections and/or rescheduling of planned objectives and associated activities and time frames. In this way, the review reports will serve formative evaluation purposes.

Review Conferences

Review conferences will take place during the following two time periods:

  • November - December (Fall)
  • March (Spring)

Review conferences are opportunities for administrative officers, department chairs and department heads to meet with their respective supervisors to discuss (1) progress toward meeting strategic priorities and objectives, and (2) any revisions, corrections or rescheduling of activities and time frames.

Monitoring Activities

  • Responsible administrators, chairs, directors, and managers complete review reports prior to the review conferences. Copies of the review are sent to OPAR.
  • Administrative officers meet with department heads to ascertain progress indicated by feedback mechanisms and determine how results from feedback mechanisms will be used for the purpose of improvement and future planning.
  • President meets with administrative officers to ascertain progress indicated by feedback mechanisms and to determine how results from feedback mechanisms will be used for the purpose of improvement and future planning.
  • The Office of Planning, Assessment and Research (OPAR) monitors implementation of required procedures to ensure the documentation of effectiveness activities.
