Financial aid disbursements will occur on the 10th day of class in order to comply with federal regulations regarding certification of class attendance. Funds generally are not applied to students’ accounts until the financial enrollment process has been completed. Since this usually occurs after the start of classes, student should have resources to sustain themselves until funds are credited and refunds have been processed. Loan funds for first-time borrowers are not disbursed until the 30th day of class, per federal regulations.
Panther Paw Mastercard
Clark Atlanta University offers the service of delivering student refunds more quickly and conveniently via the Panther Paw MasterCard. This option is free to all enrolled students. To sign up, students must complete a Panther Paw and Money Network consent agreement by logging into the Panther PAW Card site. To ensure accurate processing of your refund via the Panther Paw MasterCard Card, please be sure to have your consent form completed by the close of business, the day before refund processing.
Refunds are generally processed on Tuesday to be available on Friday after midnight, via the Panther Paw Mastercard Card. Parent plus and student refunds are mailed on Friday.
Beginning Fall 2017, Clark Atlanta University will begin offering ACH direct deposit to the students as an added refund option. Students will have to choose if they would like to receive their refund via ACH to their personal checking or have their refund deposited to their PAW card.
Parent Plus Refunds will be mailed to the parents at the address on record for the parent. Parent Plus loans may be refunded to the student when the parent completes the Parent Plus Authorization Letter.(please click on the link below)
