The Clark Atlanta University School of Arts and Sciences offers a diverse curriculum, guiding students towards fulfilling careers. It serves as the university’s core, grounded in a liberal arts tradition dating back to Clark College (1869), one of the first private four-year liberal arts colleges for African Americans. It currently comprises 18 academic departments within four divisions and is the largest of CAU’s four schools.
Clark Atlanta University’s School of Business, a prominent producer of black MBAs for 70+ years, earned AACSB accreditation in 1974. Offering top-tier business management education, it boasts a diverse enrollment from 40+ states and 30+ countries. The school is committed to nurturing future leaders who innovate solutions to global business challenges, aiming to become a premier business school in the nation.

The Whitney M. Young Jr. School of Social Work, established in 1920, was the first accredited school of social work at an HBCU and in Georgia. CSWE-accredited since 1952, it uses an Afrocentric, autonomous model to prepare culturally competent practitioners focused on issues affecting African American communities, guided by humanistic values and a liberal arts curriculum, enabling graduates to address social and economic injustices locally and globally.
