Joined the Board in 2005
Leonard Walker is Business Banking Division manager for Wells Fargo Bank (formerly Wachovia Bank, N.A.). As head of banking activities for more than 4,000 companies with annual sales ranging from $3 million to more than $25 million, Mr. Walker and his team of bankers are responsible for all corporate banking, treasury services, credit, and capital management needs for business banking customers in Atlanta.
Prior to joining Wachovia, Walker was a founder and principal in an institution-backed venture capital firm based in Atlanta. The venture capital firm, CyberStarts, funded in part by Wachovia, created, acquired, and managed companies focused on the intersection of financial services and technology. His banking career also includes 11 years with JP Morgan Chase in New York City. While there, he held a number of senior management poitions including Small Business Financial Services and division executive in Middle Market Banking. Mr. Walker serves on the boards of the YMCA of Metro Atlanta, Grady Health Foundation, Central Atlanta Progress, and Midtown Alliance.
He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Davidson College and an MBA from Columbia University. He is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Program for Management Development.
