Carolyn M. Young (CC, '66)

Carolyn M. Young is an executive with Atlanta-based GoodWorks International, LLC, a leading global advisory firm offering international market access and political risk analysis in key emerging markets within Africa and the Caribbean. Retired after a 30-year teaching career with the Atlanta Public Schools, Young has been recognized as an outstanding educator, receiving several awards and honors including the 1976 Atlanta Area II Teacher of the Year, Georgia Teachers Incentive Award for Intermediate Grades and distinction as a Southern Bell Black History Calendar as a “Teacher of Excellence.”
Mrs. Young serves on the Governor’s Reform Commission for Education and the Georgia Human Relations Commission. She is also a member of the board of directors for the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University; Fernbank Museum; the Starlight Foundation; Literacy Action, Inc.; Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC); SCLC Women; the Apex Museum; and the Georgia Council of Abused Children. She is a member of the Buckhead Cascade Chapter of Links and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
Young is a graduate of Clark College and Georgia State University.
