Brenda Walker is a leading financial investment executive with more than 25 years of financial and managerial experience. Sheisafoundingpartner in 522 Capital Partners LLC (522 Capital), the newly launched, vertically integrated commercial real estate management and investment firm. With offices in New York, North Carolina, and Georgia, 522 Capital’s focus is to provide work-out and recovery services that will maximize the value of its clients’ distressed real estate portfolios. The firm will also acquire distressed assets and/or partner with owners of distressed assets who are seeking liquidity.
Ms. Walker has held a variety of senior management and leadership positions with major financial institutions, non-profit and entrepreneurial entities. Prior to forming 522 Capital, she was Senior Vice President, Smith Breeden Associates, Inc., where she was responsible for new business development and client relationships. Previous employers included the White House Council of Economic Advisors; J. P. Mor- gan Asset Management; MetLife; Bellemead Development Corporation, a former subsidiary of the Chubb Group; The Amelior Foundation and The Enterprise Foundation. Ms. Walker is a member of the Leadership Council for Child & Family Health in Durham, NC and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
She received the Bachelor of Science degree from Clark College; Master of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; and an MBA from The Wharton School, Graduate Division, University of Pennsylvania.
