Welcome to the Clark Atlanta
University Department of Athletics. The mission of the Clark Atlanta University Department of Athletics is to operate a comprehensive and competitive athletic program that enhances the educational experience of the participating student-athletes, general student body, faculty and staff. The program strives to promote the University in a positive fashion to local and national communities through fair and competitive collegiate athletic play and by operating a program that fully complies with the guidelines of the University, the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) The overriding principle of balancing academics and athletics guides the department in developing its goals and objectives. The purpose of the CAU Athletics Department is to offer student-athletes enrichment activities that will lead them toward:
Currently, the CAU Department of Athletics offers a total of eleven intercollegiate sports (six for women and five for men). Women's intercollegiate sports includes cross-country, volleyball, basketball, fast pitch softball, track and field, and tennis. Men's intercollegiate sports includes football, cross-country, basketball, baseball, track and field. Clark Atlanta University is a charter member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and a Division II member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The Panther Fight Song Hail!
