Lady Panther's Basketball 2007-2008 Season Outlook

Lady Panther Basketball will have a completely different look for the 2007-08 season. With the graduation of All-Conference player Prinsha Williams, Head Coach Vanessa Moore (6th year) will rely on four returning players and a host of newcomers this campaign.

Guards Whitney Reid, Danielle and Mary Walker, and forward Jessica Bryant are all returning to the Lady Panther lineup this season. They will be joined by one freshman, Brittany Bell (5'11, Forward); and four juniors (Karla Westmore, 6'2, Center; Jessica Wright, 5'7, Guard; Tanesha Wright, 5'8, Guard; and Sheaywond Williams, 5'7, Guard).

According to Coach Moore, "The key to our success will be how this team develops as a unit. Although we had the luxury of relying on Prinsha last season as the offensive nucleus of the team, this year there will be a more balanced approach offensively. Also, unlike previous years, most of the newcomers enter the program with collegiate game experience."
