Basketball Head Coach Vanessa Moore Vanessa Moore was appointed Head Coach of Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers Basketball on June 5, 2002. Coach Moore moves into her sixth year as head of the Lady Panthers Basketball program (64-74 overall record). Moore began her career as an assistant before moving into the head coach position (2000 - 2002). In her six years as head coach, Moore has produced two winning seasons of twenty or more victories. In 2003 and 2004, Coach Moore received Coach of the Year Honors. Coach Moore has over ten years of playing and coaching experience. In 1992, her high school exploits opened the door to play collegiate basketball at Tuskegee University. As a student-athlete, Moore was named 1992 SIAC Freshman of the Year and the 1993 SIAC Player of the Year. In addition, Moore made her name known through the national rankings when she led the nation in rebounding among Division II schools. Moore is a native of Birmingham, Alabama, and a 1996 graduate of Tuskegee University with a B.S. degree in physical education. She earned a Master's degree in Sports Management in 1997 from Florida A&M University. Coach Moore currently resides in the Atlanta area with her husband and son. |
