The Academic Support Unit provides services that help Clark Atlanta University students to successfully assimilate, matriculate and graduate. The services provided include:
- Study skills workshops.
- Inter-personal skills workshops.
- Developmental skills workshops and tutorials.
- Face-face tutorials including peer, small group, and supplemental group instruction tutorials.
- Online tutorials for self-help and peer assistance at the Student Academic Support Unit website.
- Laptop Loan Program
The Academic Support Unit (ASU) uses both the “high-touch” and “high-tech” models for instruction, learning, and communications. The Undergraduate Technology and Academic Support Program (UTASP), whose primary directive is to advocate the use of technology for instruction and learning at the University, has been incorporated into ASU. As such, ASU’s goal is to meet the students where they are – in cyberspace. With social media, online tutorials, online peer assistance, electronic software and other aids, students can get assistance from anywhere at any time. We also have the personal touch available for our students with workshops, tutorials, and just plain conversation.
