Urban Marketing Research Institute
The Urban Marketing Research Institute addresses the need for
better understanding and research of urban consumer markets.
As part of the Marketing Department, the Institute explores creative
ways to reach diverse consumer groups. School of Business Administration
students increase their technical knowledge, gain exposure to
new methods of targeting ethnic consumers, and receive practical
marketing experience prior to graduation.
The Institute objectives are
the:
- Establishment of a comprehensive
database on local and national trends relating to the consumer
behavior of minorities and other ethnic groups.
- Collaboration with companies
and individuals on projects that impact product development,
distribution, and promotion.
- Development of a trained pool
of racially diverse students with experience in ethnic consumer
marketing.
