Special
Programs The Financial Services Institute (FSI) began accepting students into its programs in the spring of 1997 after three years of study and planning. The mission of FSI is to increase the number of qualified students pursuing careers in finance and related fields, and to increase awareness about the financial services industry. The Travelers Foundation provided initial funding for the program through a grant administered by The College Fund/UNCF. The founders of the program envisioned FSI at Clark Atlanta as a pilot program that can be later adopted by other colleges and universities. The key elements of the FSI program are: 1) curriculum development and academic enrichment; 2) industry awareness; 3) student professional development; and 4) faculty development. FSI uses a variety of classes and extra-curricular activities to provide these elements to the students who are enrolled in the program. To learn more about FSI and its programs, please contact the Institute at (404) 880-8634. |
