50 years, the School of Business Administration has flourished
as the major producer of black MBAs in America. In 1974, the
School of Business earned accreditation from the American Assembly
of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The School of Business
Administration is committed to continuous improvement of its
historic teaching and service tradition, with emphasis on intellectual
contributions. Recently ranked among the top five Historically
Black Colleges and Universities as a "best buy" by
Money Magazine, the Business School is committed to training
its students to exceed expectations of aspiring business leaders
beyond the 21st century.
Master of Business Administration
The MBA degree from Clark Atlanta University opens doors for
students seeking professional careers in major corporations in
the areas of accounting, finance, information systems and marketing.
The Business School prepares students to fill leadership roles
through its challenging curriculum, innovative programs and supportive
environment and then provides the opportunity for its students
to market themselves by inviting Fortune 500 companies to recruit
annually at the School of Business. The demonstrated success
of those students who have graduated from CAU attracts interested
companies to revisit the school year after year.
The size of CAU's program is small with approximately 160 students
in the first and second year classes and a student to faculty
ratio of 11:1. An intimate classroom setting, easy access to
faculty, and the supportive, cooperative atmosphere among the
students create a learning environment that is uniquely individualized,
and fosters a spirit of enthusiasm and involvement.
Students who choose the School of Business Administration have
diverse academic and cultural backgrounds. Every year the student
body consists of a good solid mix of students from all across
the country and several international countries, a balanced mix
of men and women, with varying degrees of experience. The Business
School's more than 2,000 graduates enjoy rewarding management
and professional careers in public and private sector organizations
in the United States and abroad.
