Disciplines
The Art Department offers instruction leading to the Bachelor
of Arts degree in Art for students planning advanced work in
art and the Bachelor of Arts degree in Fashion Design/Merchandising
for students wishing to enter the apparel industry. Concentrations
are available in advertising design, a blend of courses in graphic
design, computer imaging, illustration, photography, art direction,
and specific courses in Mass Media Arts and the School of Business.
Students may also follow a program of study that leads to concentrations
in traditional studio art areas including: photography, printmaking,
sculpture, painting, and art history. Fashion design and merchandising
students can choose between a concentration in fashion design
or fashion merchandising.

In addition to the University General Education Requirements,
students pursuing the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Art must
