Welcome Dear Prospective Student, Welcome to Clark Atlanta University's Office of Continuing Education. The staff is working in new and smarter ways to meet your needs. We hope the enclosed program offerings meet your satisfaction as you plan for your personal and professional development. This Spring we are excited about providing new opportunities for continuing education students in a variety of fields. Our line-up includes Credit Education, Photography, Image Development, and Dance courses. Upcoming offerings include continuing education unit (CEU) certificates in business, targeted directly to the needs of entrepreneurs and small business owners. We have strengthened our partnership with the CAU Distance Learning Center in order to offer more professional development training programs to learners throughout Atlanta and the Southeast region. Finally, we are thrilled to announce our formal collaboration with Studioplex on Auburn (the artists' mecca in Atlanta). If you missed our celebration in December, look at some of the photos from that event on the inside cover of this bulletin. We have pledged to continue our involvement with Studioplex through its Community Arts Education Program. An array of creative noncredit courses will be offered in collaboration with this education component during weekends and evenings at the Studioplex facility, located in Atlanta's historical Old Fourth Ward District. As you plan for summer fun and relaxation do not forget our upcoming series of short courses just in time for the 2002 National Black Arts Festival. We have included a brief listing of these and other courses in our Upcoming Activities box. In addition, we will be working smarter to strengthen our collaboration with various campus departments by providing a central location for all CAU continuing education activities, such as School of Social Work professional development training, Art Gallery lectures, Alumni Relations activities, and Writing Institute offerings. Look for more details in the coming months. We invite you to register for classes today! We would love to see you on our main campus or at one of our off-campus sites.
