November 13, 2009 marked the official inauguration of Dr. Carlton E. Brown as the third president of Clark Atlanta University. The ceremony was held on Friday, November 13, 2009 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
A nationally recognized higher education executive, academician, researcher, and author, Dr. Brown previously served from 1997 to 2006 as president of Savannah State University and in 2007, was appointed to implement major system-wide initiatives by the chancellor of the University System of Georgia’s Board of Regents.
