Laptop Loan Program
Clark Atlanta University (CAU) strives to provide an enriched, challenging, and nurturing environment for its students. Because the University recognizes the important role technology plays in instruction and learning, CAU seeks to maximize the opportunity for students’ success by loaning a laptop to first-year, first-time undergraduate students as they are available. The initiative is known as the Laptop Loan Program (LLP), a pilot program which is administered by the Undergraduate Technology & Academic Support Program (UTASP) for undergraduate student participants.
The anticipated benefits to students are many. A laptop will meet the students’ computing and telecommunications needs and give students access to technology 24/7. Laptops can facilitate peer-peer and student-faculty communication and collaboration. The teaching and learning experience is aided by placing technology in the hands of students. The Laptop Loan Program enhances the teaching and learning experience and impacts student learning outcomes by supporting the CAU academic environment.
You can find out more about the LLP in the UTASP Policy and Procedures document.
