Mission

The office of Student Health Services is the unit within the Division of Enrollment Services and Student Affairs of Clark Atlanta University that is charged with the responsibility of providing quality healthcare to all eligible CAU students.  This healthcare must be timely, accessible, and provided with dignity.  Health Services endeavors to enhance the current state of wellness of its students with an emphasis on disease prevention, health education and the delivery of quality primary healthcare.  Referrals are made to outside facilities for chronic illnesses/diseases and other situations as deemed appropriate.  Through its programs and services, the Office of Student Health Services enhances the overall well-being of the student, while contributing to and directly affecting student productivity.


Location

The Student Health Center is located on Mildred Street in the lower level of CAU Suites East Building 128.

  •  Assessment and treatment of acute illnesses
  •  Stabilization of emergencies (within the health center only)
  •  Immunizations
  •  Medications for minor illnesses
  •  STD testing, treatment and counseling
  •  Free HIV testing and counseling
  •  Annual GYN exams
  •  Health screenings
  •  Pregnancy testing
  •  Laboratory Services
  •  Prescriptions for birth control
  •  Referrals
  •  Health Education Promotion Programs



Hours

The health center is open Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Physicians are available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Tuesday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Appointments are encouraged but not required.
