PICK YOUR WEEK TO STAND UP FOR CAU!
CLASS – Alumni and Schools Campaign
The CLASS (Chapter Leadership and School Support) group, our deans and alumni, felt it was very important to engage graduates and cultivate them for special projects that were long term. This year each school will host one of a four part alumni reception series that will touch alumni to encourage participation and gifts. Selected alumni from each of the schools will have an opportunity to host a reception and speak to peers about the importance of giving.
Also, each year, all alumni receive a telephone call or a personalized letter inviting them to participate in their school’s annual fund campaign. Phone-a-thon callers are all currently enrolled students who look forward to speaking with alumni and have a great love for Clark Atlanta University. The goal is to speak with alumni about recent happenings within their school, update their alumni record and invite them to participate in this year’s campaign.
PROWL – Athletics Campaign

There will be a very special half-time show performed by artists from Block Entertainment as well as awards given at the end of the game.

The CUBS (Contributions for the University’s Best Students), our student group, host various events to celebrate student academic success and that also help the community at large. From these activities evolved class campaigns, requesting that each student make a contribution of at least there class year to the annual fund campaign. The Class Gift Campaign is responsible for establishing a lifelong giving relationship with students while still enrolled at CAU. The goals of the Class Gift Campaign are to increase young alumni commitment, create a sense of unity within the student body and raise awareness about philanthropy and support for CAU. In order to achieve these goals, the Class Gift Campaign establishes a volunteer committee consisting of students from every major and class level to host a wide variety of events and promotions that include Senior Tailgates, Grad Fairs, Bowl-a-Thons, and Meet and Greet nights.

Each unit is represented in either the Academic or Administrative division and is listed below. The area with the highest percentage of employee giving from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012 has a chance to win the President's Cup of Excellence for their division. Each cup will be annual “traveling awards” and will be presented at the Annual Faculty and Staff Institute in August based upon results through June 30. Every gift counts, from $5 to $5,000 (and beyond), and can be earmarked for what matters most to you. You decide what to support, and at what level! Participation is very important. It is vital that CAU be able to show off-campus donors how well on-campus donors support this great University.
