Pearlie C. Dove Colloquium
The Pearlie C. Dove Colloquium is a lecture series sponsored by the School of Education that takes its name from Dr. Pearlie C. Dove. Dr. Dove is a Professor Emeritus and former Chair of the Division of Education that lead Clark College, now Clark Atlanta University (CAU), to receive national accreditation in Teacher Education more than forty years ago. Her vision, integrity, commitment to excellence, and accomplishments are well documented and emblematic of the Atlanta University Center (AUC) intellectual prowess and innovative leadership. The Colloquium is a testament to her legacy and the legacy of others who inspired and prepared her as an educator, innovator, and advocate. It aspires to encourage and promote spirited exchange related to the work of teacher-education, leadership, and counseling in diverse educational settings.
The event is open to the public, particularly the community, teachers, practitioners, scholars, and most of all students, so as to engage, direct, and invoke the best thinking on how to the address challenges, opportunities, and innovations in the world of teaching and learning.
