The Center for Research and Therapeutic Development at Clark Atlanta University Signs Agreement with The National Football League Former Players Association

ATLANTA (Oct. 18, 2011) – The Center for Cancer Research and Therapeutic Development (CCRTD) at Clark Atlanta University (CAU) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Atlanta chapter of the National Football League Former Players Association (NFLFPA). The partnership between CAU and the NFLFPA will increase awareness of health disparities, promote community participation in prostate cancer health education, and implement activities that prevent, reduce and eliminate prostate cancer. Participating in the signing ceremony are (left to right) Dr. Shafiq A. Khan, director of the CCRTD; Dr. Carlton E. Brown, president of CAU; Mr. Solomon Brannan, president of the Atlanta chapter of the NFLFPA; and Dr. Tamica Smith-Jones, director of athletics at CAU.
