Mission
Statement of the Office of Marketing and Communications
The Office of Marketing and Communications, a unit of the Division
of Institutional Advancement and University Relations, establishes
and maintains mutual understanding between the University and
its constituent groups. OMC plans and executes programs of action
that help Clark Atlanta University earn the understanding, acceptance,
and support of its many constituents. The role of the OMC is
to enhance the Universitys positive reputation and to build
and sustain relationships through precise, strategic and purposeful
communication. The OMC is responsible for producing cost-effective
communications. It also creates and maintains enhanced brand
identity by communicating the Universitys unique features
and benefits to key constituent groups. The Office of Marketing
and Communications is the entity responsible for managing and
overseeing all policies and procedures in connection with marketing,
communications, advertising, branding, media and visual identity
for the University.
What Do We Do?
The OMC has
identified twelve (12) critical areas that can form the basis
of a strategic communication platform to be executed for the
University. Those twelve areas are: Branding; Integrated Marketing
Communication; Marketing Communications; The Presidency and Executive
Communications Support; Internal Communications; Fundraising
and Alumni Relations Support; Alumni and Donor Relations; Media
Relations; Community Relations; Special Events Support; Issue
Management; and Crisis Communications.
To accomplish this mission
