Department Of English

Clark Atlanta University seeks applicants for three part-time, adjunct appointments to provide instruction in English composition and literature to a diverse student population. Master’s degree in English required, Ph.D. preferred. The successful applicants must have knowledge of the English discipline, knowledge of various learning and teaching styles, a dedication to the promotion of academic excellence in students and professionals, and at least three years prior teaching experience. These appointments will begin fall semester 2010.

Department Of Public Administration
Associate Professor

The Department of Public Administration is currently seeking to fill an Associate Professor vacancy. The incumbent(s) will teach MPA courses such as Human Resources Management; Research Methods; Research Data Analysis; Public Budgeting, Public Financial Management; Economics for Public Administrators; and Public Policy as assigned by the Chair. Will serve as academic advisor and Exit Paper advisor for a cohort of students. Will conduct research projects that are relevant to the discipline of Public Administration and will provide service to the department, university, and community through committees, volunteerism, task forces, etc.

The incumbent shall possess an earned doctorate in Public Administration or Political Science (with a Public Administration concentration/cognate) from a regionally accredited university. A minimum of seven years of relevant experience in higher education for the rank of Associate Professor; a strong commitment to teaching; evidence of scholarly and service potential; and a strong emphasis on the use of information technology for teaching and research are required. Substantive experience in the public or nonprofit sectors is desired.
