Important Message About Your Financial Aid

Your application for federal financial aid to attend Clark Atlanta University (CAU) for the 2008-09 academic year was selected by the federal processor for verification. Students whose files are selected for verification are required to provide the Financial Aid Office with documentation supporting the information you placed on your federal application. Therefore, you are required to bring (or mail) the following information to the Financial Aid Office immediately in order that we may begin processing your application for financial aid:

• Your (the student) individual income tax return for the 2007 year
• Your (or you & your spouse) joint income tax return for the 2007 year
• Your and your parent(s) income tax returns for the 2007 year (Dependent students only)
• A nonfilers form (if required) for individuals or families who did not file, (you need)
  • W-2 form(s)
  • Nonfiler statement
• 2008-09 Verification form Independent or Dependent, based on your status on the SAR

Forms are available on the CAU Web site at www.cau.edu, and select students, then financial aid. All returns must be signed, and we will need a copy of all forms and schedules submitted to IRS for the 2007 tax return. Please make sure that you bring or send these forms to us at the following location:
