Clark Atlanta University's W.E.B. Du Bois International Conference begins Wednesday, Feb. 20, and runs through Saturday, Feb. 23, on the University's main campus. This historic gathering marks the late intellectual's birthday,Feb. 23, as well as the 50th anniversary of his death in 1963. Du Bois wrote his most influential works in the 23 years he spent at Atlanta University, initially as a professor (1897-1910) and later as the chair of the Department of Sociology (1934-1944).
