The Center for Cancer Research and Therapeutic Development (CCRTD) at Clark Atlanta University is hosting a “Harvest of Health” Wellness Fair in partnership with the English Avenue Ministerial Alliance in Atlanta's Vine City and English Avenue neighborhoods Saturday, Oct. 20, from 10am to 2pm at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church. This wellness fair will offer various types of preventive screenings, with the main focus on prostate cancer screening. In addition, the fair will offer screenings for general health conditions and risk factors for diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular diseases and behavioral health conditions, which are prevalent in racial/ethnic communities. While the “Harvest of Health” Wellness Fair will provide screenings and health education to all individuals who participate, it will specifically target men and the medically underserved that are at greater risks for developing prostate cancer.
