OVERVIEW
The purpose of this developmental activity is to support student success and college completion through the improvement of individual and organizational performance in an effort to strengthen CAU. Organizational Development supports the following University Strategic Plans:

  • Strategic Priority #2: Build Institutional Capacity
  • Strategic Priority #4: Improve and Maintain Financial Strength and Viability


The long-range goal of this activity is the development of a Total Quality Management (TQM) Program supported by a Comprehensive Training and Development program that incorporates all university-sponsored opportunities for individual and institutional improvement. The plan would include developing all sessions into a standard suite of workshops that would be outlined on our website and would include online registration, completion, and evaluation statistics. The TQM program would involve continuous improvement and on-going review of processes and procedures to ensure a reduction in loss of students due to ineffective student related services.

As we are continuing our ongoing sessions, the main focus of our work this grant year will be the initial solicitation of all current staff workshops to bring under one umbrella, development of new workshops, development of the workshop outline and annual calendar, and development of the web page. The other main focus of our work this year will be all duties associated with a comprehensive review and revision to our current compensation plan as outlined in our objectives.
